Q: which would be used on Aluminim?

A: I cannot find an insert from Mitsubishi that matches the specs to fit this cutter that is ideally suited for aluminum. This one is PVD coated so could provide acceptable performance in aluminum, but the RPCT1606M0MA H01 from Korloy is precision ground with a polished rake face and would therefore be perfect for aluminum. It is in stock but considerably more expensive.
