A: If by "flue" you mean flute, this is not a 3 flute drill. It is a 2 flute drill. Where you are getting the 3 is from the drill depth to diameter ratio, which is 3. The D stands for diameter, so they say it is 3xD. Since the diameter is 12.7mm, the drilling depth of the flutes is 3 times 12.7mm, which is approximately 43mm. (actually 3 x 12.7 is 38.1, but they just go by approximate ratios.
